2018 Coast Loop 2 Ride
Our first multi-day ride of the year was March 23 – 26, a loop around Texas covering three very different areas of the state including the East Texas Piney Woods, the Texas Coastal Bend, Goliad & Fannin, and San Antonio. Total distance was about 1,250 miles over 4 days and included 2 free ferries.
Day 1 - Depart Terrell and head through the east Texas piney woods to Winnie, TX. 316 Miles for the Day
Day 2 - The route stayed close to the coast with stops in Galveston and Sea Center Texas. 312 Miles for the Day
Day 3 - Continued to Mustang Island and north to Port Aransas and continue on the free ferry as we headed to Historic Goliad State Park https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/goliad) and Fannin Battleground State Historic Site http://www.thc.texas.gov/historic-sites/fannin-battleground-state-historic-site). 265 Miles for the Day
Day 4 - We took back roads from San Antonio to the DFW area. 358 Miles for the Day
Total of 1,252 Miles for the Ride
